Nigerians arrested for cloning credit cards, fraudulent purchases
New Delhi, Jul 2 (UNI) With the arrest of three Nigerians, police today claimed to have busted an international racket involved in cloning credit cards and using them for fraudulent purchase of goods from upmarket locations.
The three Nigerians -- Abayomi (30), Evans (32) and Bawwa (29) -- were arrested by Crime Branch sleuths from south Delhi's South Extension area yesterday, said the police.
Seven fake credit cards, three credit cards and a laptop were recovered from their possession. The laptop contained details of 200 credit cards.
The arrests were made following a complaint by a top bank of fake credit cards being used for purchases.
Interrogtion of the accused revealed that they got the cards from their friend in Nigeria.
