Murray banks on sushi fuelled bulging biceps to make Wimbledon history

By Staff

London, July 2 : Britain's leading tennis player Andy Murray hopes his Sushi fuelled bulging biceps will enable his dreams of reaching the Wimbledon semifinals come true.

The British star takes on world No2 Rafael Nadal on Centre Court today, bidding to make the last four of a Grand Slam event for the first time.

Following his dramatic five-set win over Richard Gasquet in the fourth round, Murray showed off his bulging biceps to delirious fans, The Sun reported.

Murray has bulked up as a result of his tough fitness regime, which started last December in Miami.

The 12th seed, who snacked on sushi during his post-match Press conference on Monday night, said: "I've never worked so hard in my life as I did during those weeks in Miami."

"We went to the gym, the track, the court, the yoga studio and, despite all that, I still put on weight because I started to eat much more than I've ever done. I was going out to dinner and eating 42 pieces of sushi. I was eating massive amounts and snacking on protein bars to supplement the meals," he added.

"Even now, I want to get heavier, so maybe 60 pieces of sushi is my target. The one thing I won't do is bulk up on supplements. I'm worried about taking things that could possibly make me fail a drugs test," he further said.

Murray has got his muscles popping by doing chin-ups with a 20-kilo weight strapped around his waist.
