Chennai, Jul 2 (UNI) Three Indians made it to the main draw of the ICL Chennai Open PSA and WISPA squash championship at the ICL Acdemy here today.
In the final qualifying rounds, Ravi Dixit, Parth Sharma and Harinderpal Singh came through tough matches to make the grade.
New Zealand's Greame Wilson was the fourth qualifier to make it to the main draw.
Local trainee at the ICL Squash Academy Ravi Dixit won both the qualifying rounds. First he defeated compatriot Karan Malik 11-4, 11-4, 7-11, 11-3 and then defeated world ranked 198 Kristian Olesen from Denmark 12-10, 5-11, 11-4, 13-11 in four games.
However, India's Siddharth Suchde pulled of the 10,000 dollars prize money tournament due to an injury.
The main draw matches in both the PSA and the WISPA events, being held together for the first time, would begin tomorrow.
