Jammu, Jul 2 (UNI) The Bhartiya Janata Party state unit today alleged that Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad's kin is behind the Bhaderwah firing incident and grenade blast, in which at least 25 people got injured, including two BJP activists and CRPF jawans.

''The Congress is playing cards to communalise the issue of the transfer of land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board. However, Bhaderwah firing is a criminal conspiracy hatched by the Azad-led government,'' Ashok Khajuria BJP state president said at a press conference here this evening.

''The Chief Minister's brother Javed Azad's Private Security Officers(PSO) opened fire on procession in Bhaderwah, the home constituency of Mr Azad, in which civilians among BJP activists including Manjit Singh and Pummy got critically injured,'' Mr Khajuria alleged.

The BJP president said incident of firing has cleared the intentions of the Congress, who wants to communalise the Amarnath issue only to generate vote bank ensuing assembly elections.

''The Congress failed to woo people in Jammu as the party only worked for leadership in the state. The Azad-led government is enforcing Islamic fundamentalism in the state, which is unacceptable,'' Mr Khajuria added.

However, he said the Amarnath land issue will rock the entire nation as Akhil Bhartiya Janata Party under the leadership of L K Advani is going to make aware masses nation-wide on the issue from July 4 to 11.

Moreover, Mr Khajuria, in a letter to Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil has said the Congress-led minority government in Jammu and Kashmir, has unleashed a reign of terror on the BJP leaders and cadres.

The situation has now climaxed to the point that the desperate congress-led minority government has been adopting all conceivable methods to suppress the ongoing mass movement in the entire Jammu including clamping of curfew and imposition of section-144 of the CrPc, the letter to Mr Patil added.
