BJP reiterates and denies any alliance with BSP
Kanpur, Jul 2 (UNI) Lambasting Uttar Pradesh chief minister and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati for saying her party will not do any kind of alliance with the BJP in the coming Lok Sabha election, the BJP today said ''it is we, who deny any pact with her.'' ''Earlier also, the BJP rubbished such reports and now also, I want to reiterate that the party will not do any pre-poll or post-poll alliance with the BSP,'' BJP president Rajnath Singh said addressing mediapersons here.
''Ms Mayawati says that she does not want to reach on any understanding with the BJP, but the fact is that the BJP is little interested in doing so,'' he added.
On July 8, the BJP Central Parlimentary Board will finalise its candidates for the LS polls, Mr Singh informed.
He held responsible both the Central and the Jammu and Kashmir governments for the withdrawal of allotted land to the Sri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB). ''The BJP will not keep quiet and stage a massive protest across the country,'' he cautioned.
Terming Nuke deal as anti-Indians, the BJP president said his party would demand vote-of-confidence from Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, if the Left withdraws support from the Congress led-United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government at the Centre.
