Lucknow, July 2 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today charged the Congress with playing with the sentiments of Hindus by revoking the order of transfer of land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board.

Lambasting the Ghulam Nabi Azad-led J &K government for rescinding the decision taken in the favour of Amarnath Yatris, senior BJP leader Lalji Tandon said the inadequate arrangements for pilgrims of the Amarnath Yatra was the most blatant act by the government.

He said it was an ample proof of lust of power on the part of Congress. ''It clearly shows the Congress has no heart for Hindus in this country,'' he told a press conference here.

Mr Tandon said the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre never indulged in such gimmicks and had respect for all the religions.

''The Congress has failed miserably to prove its secular credentials and always discrminated between Hindus and Muslims when it came to facilities,'' he alleged.

Issuing an appeal for Hindus to register their protest in the state during the country-wide bandh on Amarnath Yatra issue, Mr Tandon said the BJP workers would stage demonstration in all the districts against the partisan attitude of the Congress against the Hindus.
