'Amasicon 2008' from July 3 in Chennai
Chennai, Jul 2: ''Amasicon-2008,'' the third International Congress of the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India (AMASI), would be held here from July 3 to 6.
More than 1,500 delegates from all over India would participate in the conference, which would have live workshop and Minimally Access Surgery (MAS) procedures performed by Indian surgeons and as well as by experts from Japan, the US, England, Korea and France.
Fellowship of the Minimal Access Surgeons of India would be awarded to successful surgeons by Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss at a convocation ceremony during the Congress.
The Conference, to be held at the Sri Ramachandra University, would be inaugurated by National Board of Examinations president A Rajasekharan in the presence of University Chancellor V R Venkatachalam, State Health Secretary V K Subburaj and Medical Council of India member A Muruganathan.
