Jammu, Jul 2 (UNI) Two teenage girls were buried alive under landslide in a village near Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, sources said today.
Fareeda Begum(17), Raziya Begum(16), and Saleema Begum, had gone to a nearby jungle in Moorie village of Mandi in Poonch to fetch green grass for their cattle when the landslide occurred at around 1415 hrs yesterday.
While saleema was rescued by the security forces from a nearby camp, the other two girls were buried alive under the landslide, sources said.
The villagers also rushed to the spot to search for the bodies.
Saleema was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, sources said.
