Hyderabad, Jul 1 (UNI) Senior Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader and MP Y Dayakar Rao today said the party was not against the formation of Telangana state even as the party has always been saying that it was committed to a united Andhra Pradesh since its formation.
Speaking to newspersons here, he said the TDP, however, would take a decision on seperate Telangana after eliciting the views of the party leaders of Telangana. The party's decision would certainly reflect the sentiments of Telangana people, he added.
Stating that the party has not taken any decision on forging an alliance with other political parties, including the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) as a section of the media had reported, he said party President and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu would take a decision on Telangana and poll pacts with other parties at an appropriate time.
