Police custody of Tarik Parveen and others extended
Mumbai, Jul 1 (UNI) A city court today extended police custody of gangster Tarik Parveen, owing allegiance to the Dawood Ibrahim gang, and two of his associates till tomorrow for their alleged involvement in the attack on driver of Guddu Pathan, a close relative of Karim Lala, a former underworld don.
Additional chief magistrate P R Deshmukh, while extending the police custody of Parveen and his associates Haji Amin and Yunus Durani, adjourned the hearing on their bail plea till tomorrow.
According to the prosecution, Mohammed Zaman Hidayatullah, driver of Pathan, was attacked by Parveen and his associates last week after they had heated arguments over parking of a vehicle in Dongri in South Mumbai.
The three accused were arrested by Dongri police under sections 307, 326 of IPC. They were produced before the local court at Mazgaon.
It may be recalled that Parveen, who was deported from Dubai, was recently acquitted in the infamous Sara Sahara Shopping Complex case, in which Dawood's brother Iqbal Kaskar was also one of the accused.
