Jammu, July 1 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Oil Tankers Association today said there would be no supply of petroleum products to the Valley unless the state government comes clear on the issue of transfer of land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB).
Following tense situation in winter capital, the Association has ''stopped'' supplying petroleum products, sources here said.
The supply of petroleum products was blocked to the Valley following agitations over SASB, one of the members of the Tankers Association said.
''We are not in favour of supplying petroleum products to the Valley as the agitators ransacked and damaged the tankers in the Valley, which forced us to remain cut off till the situation normalises,'' Anan Sharma, president, J &K Oil Tankers Association told UNI.
Mr Sharma said the supply of petroleum products had been discontinued and no tanker would ply on the roads.
However, sources said many other associations and organisations may also come forward and disrupt supply of essential commodities and other goods to Kashmir following the ongoing agitation in the state.
