Mitr Shikshaks to counsel adolescents
Chandigarh, Jul 1 (UNI) The Haryana Health Department has appointed 100 'Mitr Shikshaks' in all the Primary and Community Health Centres of Kurukshetra district in order to help and provide counselling to the adolescents.
An official spokesman said these 'Mitr Shikshaks' would help in educating and counselling the children who had attained adolescence. ''It is very important to show the right path to these adolescents at this stage of life.'' He said these 'Mitr Shikshaks' would also organise seminars and interactive sessions for educating the adolescents.
''Adolescents go through lot of changes at this stage of life and it is very necessary to address the issues and concerns they have regarding those sudden changes.'' He said the adolescents were counselled in a very comfortable environment by the 'Mitr Shikshaks'. These 'Mitr Shikshaks' equipped young people with the information and abilities which were necessary for them to make good choices for themselves and their communities.
