Central Assistance to Rajasthan under DDP
New Delhi, Jul 1 (UNI) The Ministry of Rural Development has sanctioned Rs 58,00,571 lakh to the Rajasthan government under the Desert Development Programme(DDP).
The amount was granted for Haryali-IV batch for the Jalore and Jhunjhunu districts of the state during the current financial year (2008-09).
The Zila Parishad of Jalore will receive Rs 297 lakh for planning and development of 44 watershed projects under the DDP as second installment. Similarly, the Zila Parishad of Jhunjhunu will get Rs 2830571 lakh as third installment for the planning and implementation of 42 projects.
The grant is towards plan expenditure and subject to the terms and conditions laid down in the guidelines for watershed development and to the orders issued or may be issued from time to time by the Centre.
