Samsung hikes LCD monitor prices by 5%

New Delhi, Jun 30 (UNI) Samsung India today said it plans to increase the price of its LCD monitors by five per cent, effective from July 2.

''We plan a five per cent increase on the prices of LCD monitors.

This price increase, which will range from Rs 250 to Rs 500 across the monitor range, will be effective from July 2,'' Samsung Vice President (Sales-IT Business) Sanjay Sharma said in a statement here.

The depreciating rupee and the rising inputs costs have compelled this increase, he added.

Samsung has a series of monitors across Myst, Hayden and Touch e-series in the screen sizes between 15 inches, 17 inches, 19 inches, 20 inches and 22 inches, including wide screen models.

The Samsung LCD Monitors are priced in the range between Rs 7500 to Rs 14000.
