Precious metals inched up: BBA

Mumbai, Jun 30: Upward march continued as silver rising further by Rs 25, opened at Rs 24,660 and standard gold by Rs 35, opened at Rs 12,860 per ten gm, on fresh buying support by ornament makers, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said here.

In international market, a mixed trend was seen as gold dipped to USD 925.90/926.90 an ounce from USD 927.20/928.20 an ounce late in New York, while silver rose to USD USD 17.55/17.60 an ounce from USD 17.52/17.61, Singapore market report stated. Following were the opening spot rates: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade: Rs 24,660 Gold (per 10 gm): 99.5 purity standard mint: Rs 12,860 99.9 purity pure gold: Rs 12,915.
