Thrissur, Jun 30 (UNI) Senior Congress leader K Karunakaran today alleged that party workers, who had returned to the Congress along with him, were not given eligible posts in the organisation.
Talking to newspersons after offering prayers at the Sri Krishna temple in Guruvayur on the occasion of his 90th birthday, he, however, said they would strive for the party's victory in the next Lok Sabha elections without considering the posts.
Hundreds of Congress leaders and workers, including AICC Secretary Tom Vadakkan, felicitated Mr Karunakaran on the occasion.
Defence Minister A K Antony and AICC General Secretary in charge of Kerala Mohsina Kidwai were among others who extended their greetings to him.
