Indian U-16 team leaves for US to prepare for AFC Cup

New Delhi, Jun 30 (UNI) A 30-member Indian team comprising 24 players will leave for a four-week training tour to West Virginia, US tonight to prepare and gain valuable experience for the AFC Under-16 Championship final round in October.

The 24 players will be accompanied by six officials including Ankur Dutta who will be the manager of the squad while Colm Joseph Toal will be the Technical Director and Chief Coach.

The Indian team will start its training progaramme from July 6 with a match against Metro FC at Ohio while their last and the last match will be against WV West Virginia United.

Players: Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Raegan Albarnas, Ashish Chetri, Vishal Kumar Ravindra Kumar, Akshay Vimal Kumar Mall, Harpreet Bedi, Shallum Pires, Jayanta Paul, Ashfaq Ali, Deepak Devrani, Ravi Kumar, Sumit Rawat, Taranjit Kumar, Tanmoy Ghosh, Bikramjit Singh, Biru Yadav, Milan Singh O, R Lalrindika, Subhojit Majumdar, Tirthankar Sarkar, Abhishek Das, Malsawmfela, Manandeep, Prem Kumar.

Officials: Ankur Dutta (Manager), Tanumoy Basu (Goalkeeper Coach), Sanjoy Sen (Assistant Coach), Chandru Jayaraman (Physiotherapist), Narayana Menon (Assistant Coach), Colm Joseph Toal (Technical Director /Chief Coach).
