Decomposed body recovered from Banner Khad identified
Kangra, Jun 30 (UNI) The Kangra Police today claimed to have identified a highly decomposed body recovered from the bank of Banner Khad on Saturday near Kangra bypass as that of a Uttar Pradesh pilgrim, Dharampal, resident of Bulandsehar.
Kangra District Police Chief Dr Atul Fuljale today said that the highly decomposed body was of a pilgrim from village Rejondra of Bulandsher district in Uttar Pradesh who was in this temple town to pay obeisance at Bajjreshwari temple along with a group of pilgrims.
Dharampal was missing since June 21.
The SP said the relatives of the deceased pilgrim, who was a teacher by profession, arrived here today and identified his clothes, denture and bandage he used to wear on his leg.
Dharampal was cremated yesterday as the body was highly decomposed, the SP said, adding that the preliminary autopsy report indicated death due to fall. Investigations were on, the SSP added.
