Another Amarnath yatri dies, toll reaches 27
Srinagar, Jun 30 (UNI) A 62-year-old yatri Dhir Singh from Madhya Pradesh died due to cardiac arrest on Amarnath pilgrimage route from traditional Pahalgam route, official sources said.
They said Singh, son of late Balram Singh resident of Morina, MP, was trekking between Pisso top and Zojipal when he complained of chest pain and collapsed.
However, before he could be shifted to a nearby medical camp, he died, they said.
With this a total of 27 pilgrims have died natural death since the two-month-long pilgrimage started on June 18.
