Nawada, Jun 29 (UNI) A fast track court sentenced three brothers to rigorous life imprisonment in connection with a murder case.
Justice Sudarshan Kumar Rai of the fast track court sentenced the three brothers to rigorous life imprisonment yesterday when they were found guilty of killing Ashok Chauhan of Piprati village under Town police station area in Nawada district.
The three brothers - Manu Chauhan, Bhushan Chauhan and Bundela Chauhan - residents of Piprati village, were found guilty under Section 302/34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and violation of Arms Act.
According to the charges, the convicts had opened fire at a teacher, Ashok Chauhan, following a dispute over some trivial issue on October 8, 2002. Mr Chauhan had succumbed to bullet injuries on way to hospital. An FIR was lodged in this connection at Town police station.
