Overaged players help Coaching Centre win Challenge Cup
Patiala, June 29 (UNI) The local Multipurpose cricket coaching centre, fielding overaged players, defeated Black Elephant Cricket Club, Patiala, by eight wickets in the final of the first Multipurpose Cricket Challenge Cup (Under-16) here today at the Multipurpose Senior Secondary School ground.
Brief scores: Black Elephant scored 175 for 8 in the allotted 40 overs.
In reply, Multipurpose cricket coaching centre scored 176 for 2 in 35.2 overs.
Dronacharya awardee Gurcharan Singh was the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony.
Incidentally, it was shocking to see Multipurpose cricket coaching centre violating all cannons of ethics by way of fielding overaged players from various quarters in and outside Patiala.
