Monsoon remains active in HP
Shimla, Jun 29 (UNI) Monsoon remained active in Himachal Pradesh with several mid and lower hills of the state experiencing more rains during the last 24 hrs.
Shimla town recorded 51.6 mm overnight rain followed by 3.7 mm rain during the day followed by 44 mm at Dharamshala and 33 mm at Una town, the met office said.
Sundernagar town recorded six mm rain, while Kalpa in Kinnuar district recorded four mm and Bhuntar in Kullu district experienced three mm rain.
Sun played hide and seek in Shimla town during the first half of the day, while thick clouds engulfed the sky during the second half followed by light showers.
Meanwhile, the state capital's day and night temperature stood at 22.6 and 14.9 degree Celsius respectively, while Sundernagar recorded a day temperature of 31.3 and Bhuntar recorded 32.6 degree Celsius.
The met office said the day temperature at Kalpa stood at 22.1, Dharamshala 24.8 and Una 31.6 degree Celsius.
The night temperature at Sundernagar stood at 20.3, Bhuntar 18.9, Kalpa 9.4, Dharamshala 17.7 and Una town 21.7 degrees.
The met office has forecast rain and thundershowers at many places in the state during the next 24 hrs.
