Mini Marathon held in UT to popularise adult education
Chandigarh, June 29 (UNI) Adviser to the UT Administrator, Mr Pradip Mehra today flagged off the Mini Marathon organised by the Adult Education Unit, Chandigarh in collaboration with Fullerton India Credit Company Ltd.
The Marathon commenced from Sukhna Lake and ended at Sector 17 Central Plaza.
The objective of the Marathon was to create awareness for Adult Education and enhance the morale and confidence in the learners and to enable interaction between them. All the participants were provided with T-shirts and refreshments. About 600 participants from Adult Education Units took part in the Marathon.
CEO, Chandigarh Housing Board, Mr Amar Nath gave away the prizes to the winners of the Marathon. The first prize was bagged by Panku Sharma a learner, Kulwant, a 'prerak' received second prize while Rajesh also a 'prerak' got the third position.
