Dismiss government and impose governor's rule: Panthers Party
Srinagar, Jun 29 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (NPP) president Prof Bhim Singh today demanded dismissal of the Congress-led coalition government and imposition of Governor's rule in the state.
In a statement here, Prof Singh urged Governor N N Vohra to dismiss the government which is now in minority after the withdrawal of support by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Invoke section 92 of the constitution of Jammu and Kashmir because of the breakdown of constitutional machinery and law and order in the state and dismiss the government in the interest of security of the state and sovereignty of India'', Prof Singh said.
He said in an urgent communication to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, he has urged him to advise the governor to act swiftly to save the state from further death and destruction.
