Bhattal alleges junior Badal's interferece in government
Patiala, June 29 (UNI) Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president Rajinder Kaur Bhattal today said that her party would launch a statewide agitation to check the interference of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal in the functioning of the state government.
"Though Mr Parkash Singh Badal is the chief minister, the actual control of the government is in the hands of his son-Sukhbir," she claimed while calling for ending this 'proxy rule' in the state.
Addressing a media conference here, she said that all cases of atrocities against her party workers would be put forward before the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and Punjab and Haryana High court. The party will if the need arises will also come out on the roads to put a stop to this political vendetta, she added.
She was here to attend the 'shrdhanjali samagam' at village Kishangarh where two congress workers were allegedly murdered by supporters of SAD during the Panchayat elections.
She alleged that the Government had appointed tainted police officers on important posts for 'using them' for their vested political interests. Anyone who did not carry out the orders of the SAD or BJP leaders were transferred to less important positions, she claimed.
