Remove Chief Secretary: Opposition leader
Puducherry, June 28 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition in the Union Territory A M H Nazeem today demanded that Chief Secretary Rakesh Bihari should be removed from the post for his alleged remarks against the council of ministers at a review meeting here recently.
Talking to newspersons here, he said the "utterance" of the Chief Secretary should be treated as a shame on the democracy and Chief Minister N Rangasamy should convene an emergency Cabinet meeting and adopt a resolution, seeking his recall. The resolution should be forwarded to the Union Home Ministry through the Lt Governor for action.
He also sought the intervention of the Lt Governor to summon Mr Bihari to the legislative Assembly to tender an appology to the elected members.
