Kanu Sanyal's health improves slightly
Siliguri, Jun 27: The health condition of veteran Naxalite leader Kanu Sanyal, who was admitted to a government hospital here yesterday after falling critically ill, improved slightly today.
North Bengal Medical College and Hospital Superintendent Dr Samir Ghosh Ray said Mr Sanyal's health has registered slight improvement since this morning.
West Bengal Urban Development Minister Ashok Bhattacharya was scheduled to visit Mr Sanyal here today, Dr Ghosh Ray added.
The eighty-year-old ultra Left Communist leader was admitted to the hospital after he survived a stroke at his home at Hatighisha, Naxalbari, sources said.
A CT scan was also done on the leader, hospital sources said.
