Goud sees crucial role for Telanganites in Delhi, AP politics
Hyderabad, Jun 28 (UNI) Asserting that the Telangana people would play a decisive role in the formation of the next Government both at the Centre and in Andhra Pradesh, former Home Minister T Devender Goud, spearheading a movement for Telangana, today revealed that he was in touch with the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) leader Chaudhary Ajit Singh to jointly strive for creation of smaller states in the country.

intellectuals,
Mr
Goud,
who
quit
the
main
Opposition
Telugu
Desam
Party
early
this
week
to
work
for
the
creation
of
a
separate
Telangana,
said,
''Our
voice
has
already
reached
Delhi.
I
am
in
touch
with
Mr
Ajit
Singh,
votary
of
a
separate
Harit
Pradesh,
to
work
together
for
achieving
the
common
cause.''
The
2009
elections
would
provide
a
''good
opportunity''
for
the
Telanganites
to
prove
their
strength
in
national
and
state
politics,
he
said,
promising
the
Telangana
elite
to
be
in
constant
touch
with
them
to
take
their
valuable
suggestions
to
achieve
''self
rule''
in
Telangana
in
a
democratic
manner
and
develop
the
backward
region,
which
was
endowed
with
plenty
of
natural
resources,
to
realise
a
''modern
Telangana''.
