Five girl students injured in lightning
Kendrapada, Jun 28 (UNI) Five girl students of Arua-Kadalibana Sikhyashram were injured when lightning struck them while they were attending their classes yesterday.
The injured students were rushed to the Pattmaundai Community Health Centre (CHC) for treatment.
The asbestos roof of the school building was badly damaged in the lightning.
The injured had been identified as Ambika Barik (14), Smrutirekha Malik (14), Santilata Sahu (13), Itishree Malick (14) and Monika Biswal (14).
Police said all the injured students were now out of danger.
