Below par Atwal misses cut at Gretzky Classic

Ontario, Canada, Jun 28 (UNI) An off-colour Arjun Atwal managed a poor one-over 72 in the second round to miss the cut at the inaugural Ford Wayne Gretzky Classic here.

Atwal, currently 18th on the Money List on the Nationwide Tour, had scored one-over 73 in his first round.

He continued his poor form in the second round, hitting just one birdie on the closing 18th after dropping shots on the third and 16th.

The Chandigarh pro was two-over 145 after two rounds with the cut at five-under 138.

Americans Kyle McCarthy and DA Points jointly held the pole position with two-day totals of 12-under 131.

While Points shot a 10-under 62 at the Raven Country Club, McCarthy posted a bogey free 65 in his second round.
