Bangalore, Jun 27 (UNI) Senior BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu today accused both United Progressive Alliance (UPA) partners and Left Parties were engaged diverting the attention of the people from burning issues inflation by raising the Indo-US Nuclear deal issue.
Addressing newspersons here, Mr Naidu alleged that the 'Economy of the country was crumbled during UPA regime' as the prices of essential commodities skyrocketing.
Stating that both Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram have utterly failed to contain the prices of essential commodities, Mr Naidu opined that 'sooner the better if the UPA government fell and early elections are held'.
Criticising that inflation was rising alarmingly but the government was clue less, Mr Naidu said that prices of almost all commodities are rising leading to miseries to common man. Farmers are in great distress as the agriculture sector is facing the worst ever crisis post independence. The much boasted loan waiver scheme was too little, too disappointing and have failed to address the major problems. Internal security was completely ignored and the terrorists feel that they can strike anytime and anywhere at their will, he added.
