Minister's brother booked for assault in MP

Sagar(MP), Jun 27: Madhya Pradesh Minister of State for Public Works Narayan Prasad Kabirpanthi's younger brother Kallu Kabirpanthi was among the six people, against whom a assault case was registered by the police.

Mr Kabirpathi was inducted into the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led BJP ministry only a month ago.

Police said the case related to assaulting a youth Rajesh and his mother Tarabai by forcibly evicting them from a house which they had purchased from the main accused Babulal Ahirwar recently.

He was arrested today and stolen goods recovered.

Babulal along with Kallu and others assaulted Rajesh and his mother and their house was ransacked on June 25, while few materials kept outside the house were set ablaze. A day ago, the belongings in the house at Bhaisagaon in Cantonment area were stolen.

Police said Babulal wanted to evict the house as Rajesh had not paid full amount of the deal.
