Jammu, Jun 27 (UNI) Amid slogans against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Hurriyat Conference, a group of Kashmiri Pandits (KPs) fraternity today took out a protest rally here protesting the politicisation of the issue of transfer of land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB).

Members of YWAIKS, a Kashmiri Pandits organisation, took out a rally and shouted slogans against PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and All Party Hurriyat Conference (APHC) chairman Sayeed Ali Shah Geelani for adding fuel to the issue and making it controversial.

''We will not tolerate politicisation of transfer of land issue by the people with vested interests, who want to play politics in the name of religion and dividing people on communal basis. They are imposing as Kashmir-centric leaders to generate vote bank ensuing assembly elections,'' a member of YWAIKS told UNI.

However, shouting slogans 'gali-gali mein shor hai, Mufti-Geelani chor hai' and 'Bam Bam Bhole', the protestors passed through the main city on motorbikes with placards and banners.

They gathered at Jewel Chowk and burnt the effigies of Geelani, Muzaffar Hussain Beig and Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and raised slogans against these leaders, demanding stern action against them.

''If in case the state government takes back the 800 kanals of forest land, which have been transferred to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, a mass agitation will be launched and we will fight for the right,'' one of the Kashmiri protestor asserted.
