Melbourne, Jun 27 (UNI) Wicketkeeper batsman Brad Haddin was today ruled out of the rest of Australia's tour of West Indies as Cricket Australia (CA) advised him to return home after not being able to recover from a broken ring finger on his right hand.
Haddin, who has played with the broken finger through the final two Test matches and the first one-day international against the West Indies, will depart Grenada today to continue his recovery in Australia.
''Brad has a fractured right ring finger which he suffered during the first Test against the West Indies in Jamaica,'' Australian team physiotherapist Justin Steer said.
''This injury has now got to the point where it is limiting his capabilities as a player and therefore he is going home to seek appropriate further treatment,'' Steer added.
West Australian wicket-keeper Luke Ronchi, who made his international debut in Australia's Twenty20 game against the West Indies last week in Barbados, will remain with the squad until the completion of the tour.
