CR to add 37 new local services from July 1

Mumbai, June 27 (UNI) Central Railway will increase its local services from the existing 1,319 to 1,356, with 37 additional trains from July one.

CR will be adding 14 additional services on the main line, 13 on the Harbour Line and 10 on Thane-Vashi line, the CR chief public relation officer Mr S Mundgirikar said.

The CR will convert 78 nine car services to 12 car, which will increase from 274 to 351. They will also run all Kasara/Asangaon services on 12 car rakes.

The CR is also working on laying down new tracks on its line, he added.
