Kanpur, Jun 27 (UNI) BJP Prime Ministerial candidate L K Advani today said his party would ask the UPA government to prove its majority in Parliament if the Left withdrew support from the ruling alliance.

''The UPA government is busy on the nuclear deal issue and doing nothing to control the spiralling inflation that has broken the back of the common man,'' Mr Advani said during his half-an-hour speech amid heavy rainfall at Phoolbagh ground as part of the ''Vijay Sankalp Yatra'' here this evening.

The Left has threatened many times to withdraw support and if it does so, the UPA will have to submit to a floor test in the Lok Sabha, he said, It was due to the Left parties that the ''sick'' UPA had reached the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), the BJP stalwart quipped.

''It will be no surprise, when people wake up one day and hear that the UPA has succumbed,'' Mr Advani told the huge rally.

''Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is a doctor by name, while his government is a patient battling for life in hospital,'' he alleged.

''Even the Prime Minister does not know, when his government will get discharged,'' Mr Advani said.

''The UPA is making all efforts to get out of the ICU and is therefore approaching a party of Uttar Pradesh for help these days,'' the Leader of the Opposition claimed.

''Dr Singh is a good and honest person, but I pity him as he is being demoralised these days...10 Janpath is more important than 7, Race Course,'' he added.
