100 member youth delegation leaves for China on Sunday

New Delhi, Jun 27 (UNI) ''I am very happy to formally welcome you to China as honoured guests of the president Hu Jintao'' said Zhang Yan, Ambassador of Peoples Republic of China while interacting with the Third Indian Youth delegation of 100 members who would visit China this week.

The delegation will be led by S K Arora, Secretary Youth Affairs under the Indo-China Youth Exchange Programme.

During their stay in China between June 29 and July 8, the 100 members delegation will visit Beijing, Guiyang, Fuzhou and Shaghai.

The delegation includes representatives from almost every State and Union Territory. The exchange programme involves interaction with local youth, visits to tourist and cultural sites and introduction to economic and social activities.

''We are neighbours and there is only one way in neighbours can go in friendship, progress, in time of need, understanding of culture, idea and aspiration and we can't get away neighbours'' said Dr M S Gill, Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports. ''i don't hesitate to say this but india is a country with old civilisation but here is is a civilisation even older and complex, so make the most out of the experience'' he added while talkin to the delegates who were present there.
