Vidyarthi Sena leader murdered, supporters attack hospital
Nashik, Jun 26 (UNI) A Maharashtra Navnirman Sena's students wing leader was murdered here today following a dispute between two groups over putting up hoardings in a college.
The leader's supporters ransacked the hospital where the former was rushed, blaming the doctors of showing negligence in treating him.
Two groups clashed over putting up hoardings at the Panchvati College today.
Nilesh Garkal, city secretary of Maharashtra Navnirman Vidyarthi Sena, was attacked by members of the rival group with swords and knives. A seriously injured Nilesh was rushed to the district civil hospital but was declared dead by the doctors.
However, Nilesh's supporters blamed the doctors for negligence and ransacked the furniture in the hospital. They went on a rampage in the hospital by breaking glass panes, turnING down cots, and removing saline bottles of patients.
Civil surgeon A D Bhalsingh said Nilesh had died before admission to the hospital and the ire against the doctors was unwanted. The hospital, he said, will lodge a complaint in this matter.
