New Delhi, Jun 26 (UNI) Two security personnel were beaten by unidentified assailants in two separate incidents in south-west Delhi's Dwarka area.
In the first incident, Constable Prahlad Singh of the Delhi Police was severely injured after being hit in the head with a bottle in Dwarka's sector 16 yesterday night, according to sources.
Singh, on duty, tried to stop three men on motorcycles who were in an inebriated condition, leading to an argument between them.
In a rage one of them smashed a liqour bottle on his head leaving him severely injured.
He was rushed to the DDU Hospital where his condition was said to be stable.
A case has been registered and efforts are on to nab the assailants, said the police.
In the second case, a CRPF jawan was beaten up by four men, fighting among themselves, when he tried to mediate between them in Dwarka's sector 19.
The incident which took place yesterday night at about 2100 hrs, saw the accused thrashing up the jawan leading to a fracture in his arm.
He too was rushed to the DDU Hospital where he is recuperating.
A case has been registered and the accused being hunted, police added.
