Single window system proposed for vocational courses
Thiruvananthapuram, Jun 26: Kerala Education Minister M A Baby told the State Assembly that the government was seriously considering single window system for admission to Vocational Higher Secondary course from next year.
Replying to questions, he, however, said the government had no plans to introduce the system for college admissions.
Refuting the allegations that the government was interfering in the affairs of aided and religious management instituions and taking their seats by implementing the single window system for Plus-one course, he said it had not trespassed into their rights and the managements had the freedom to make admissions from their quota.
However, the public should get an idea as to how the quota was being filled by the managements through the system, he added.
Stating that the government had created an additional 47,155 seats for Plus-one course this year, he said if necessary, more seats would be allotted to meet the demand in the Malabar area.
