Mumbai, June 26 (UNI) Prices of brass utensils today declined by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 25,100 on sluggish demand by stockists, while aluminium utensils advanced by Rs 100 to finish at Rs 11,400 on strong advice from markets in Kolkata, Delhi and other centres, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange said.
Copper heavy, copper utensils and brass cutting remained unchanged on moderate demand by stockists, traders said.
In non-ferrous metals, except nickel cathode, metals like copper wire bars, aluminium ingot, zinc slab, lead ingot and tin slab remained steady amid scattered buying by stockists.
Nickel cathode inched up by Rs 5 and closed at Rs 1,180 per kg because of good demand by industrial users, induced by bullish advice from LME and domestic centres like Kolkata and Delhi, traders added.
Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: copper heavy - Rs 38,100, copper utensils - Rs 34,200, brass utensils - Rs 25,100, brass cuttings - Rs 26,900 and aluminium utensils - Rs 11,400.
Non-ferrous metals: copper wire bars - Rs 41,500, aluminium ingots - Rs 14,900, zinc slab - Rs 10,200, lead ingots - Rs 10,700, tin slab - Rs 1,160 per kg and nickel cathode - Rs 1,180 per kg.
