Mysore, June 26(UNI) Senior congress leader and former minister H Vishwanath has charged that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government which came to power recently in Karnataka was trying to saffronise Education system in the state.
Addressing a press conference here today Mr Vishwanath, who was also former Karnataka Education minister has accused that BJP government in the state was trying to rewrite the History syllabus and distorting the facts.
Mr Vishwanath said that BJP government as guided by its frontal organisations including RSS has taken initiatives to distort the historical facts in the Syllabus of history which is being teaching in schools and colleges.
The congress leader petitioned that immediately after coming to power the BJP government in Karantaka has announced its intention to prepare a new blue print of the development of Primary and Higher Education system in the state.
Demanding the state government to make it public its ideas on the development of Primary and Higher Education in its proposed blue print Vishwanath alleged that BJP is only interested in History syllabus, only to include its version to impose on the public.
