Another woman commits suicide in Kashmir
Srinagar, Jun 26 (UNI) A 40-year-old woman committed suicide in south Kashmir district of Anantnag, official sources said today.
They said Fatima, 40, wife of Safdar, resident of Wularhama Pahalgam consumed some poisonous substance.
She was immediately shifted to hospital by her other family members where she died.
However, it was not immediately clear why she took this extreme step.
This was the second such incident in the valley durig the past 72 hours.
The trend of committing suicide in the Kashmir valley has increased even after muslim ulmas issued a fatwa and declared it an unislamic act.
At an average, two persons, mostly women, are committing or attempting to commit suicide in the Kashmir valley daily.
