Hyderabad June 25 (UNI)Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today asked the Civil Supplies Department to ensure the issue of ration cards under the revised income limit was completed after due verification and Rs two kg rice and other essential commodities distributed to all white card holders from October one.
The Chief Minister directed the applications under the revised income limit should be called for one week from July one and issue of revised ration cards completed by September 15.
He said while weeding out duplicate or bogus ration cards, care should be taken to see all genuine people got the cards and those who could not so far,given the cards under the revised income limit, according to an official release.
The income limit for white cards have been raised from Rs 20,000 to Rs 60,000 in rural areas and from Rs 24,000 to Rs 75,000 in urban areas.
The Chief Minister asked the Department to position rice stocks by first of every month from July.
Palm oil and red gram dal must be stocked for distribution to white card holders from July onwards.
