Water level of major Kerala reservoirs decreases
Kochi, June 25 (UNI) With the South West Monsoon failing to bring in a good inflow, water levels in major reservoirs of Kerala, which mainly depended on hydel projects for power generation, have decreased.
During the week ending June 23, the water level of Kallada reservoir came down by 0.88 feet, Idukki by 2.22 feet and Idamalayar reservoir by 2.37 feet, according to an official release here today.
As per the statistics provided by the Central Water Commission, the water level of Kallada reservoir was 306.96 feet, Idukki 2298.78 feet and Idamalayar 427.26 feet.
