Silver opens below 24k barriers on weak global advice
Mumbai, Jun 25: Value of silver today resumed below of Rs 24,000 level and quoted at 23,975 per kg with declining by Rs 190 from its last close, while standard gold opened low at Rs 12,335 per ten gm, easing by Rs 25, on sluggish demand from jewellery makers and bearish global cues, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said here.
In the international market also, the white and yellow metals suffered a setback was observed with gold declining to USD 860.25/887.50 an ounce from USD 890.25/895.75 late in New York yesterday. Silver also edged down to USD 16.40/16.70 an ounce from USD 16.83/16.88 late in New York, which reflected in the domestic prices, dealers added.
