Kathmandu, June 25 : The Nepal Government will introduce the Fifth Amendment of the interim Constitution at a meeting of the Council of Ministers today. The amendment will also delete references to the Seven Parties Alliance (SPA) and the name of their interim parliamentarians.
On Tuesday, the SPA reached a seven-point understanding on the implementation of a peace pact to take the process for peace to its logical conclusion.
The parties agreed to complete the integration of Maoist combatants within six months. They also agreed that the criteria of security bodies of the state would have to be met when integrating Maoist combatants.
