Karnataka Assembly adjourned after adopting motion
Bangalore, Jun 25(UNI) Karnataka assembly today adjourned for sine die, amidst noisy scenes and dharna by Congress members demanding setting up of a joint house committee to go into the scarcity of fertilisers and suicide by farmers in the state.
As soon as the house reassembled after lunch break Congress members continued their dharna even as the motion for thanks to the governor's address was moved and seconded by treasury bench members.
Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, made a five-minute reply on the motion and the house unanimously adopted it by voice vote amidst shouting of slogans by Congress members.
Speaker Jagadish Shettar adjourned the house sine die.
