Hindu organistations calls for Jammu 'bandh' tomorrow
Jammu, Jun 25 (UNI) Several political and religious organisations called for a day-long 'bandh' in Jammu tomorrow to protest 'politicisation' of the transfer of forest land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) and the ongoing agitation in Kashmir opposing the government's move.
The issue of land transfer by the government to the SASB a month ago has caught fire in this northernmost state as Kashmir region is witnessing violent agitations against the move while Jammu people are protesting the agitations in the valley being launched to oppose the government's decision.
However, several Hindu organisations besides some political parties have called for complete 'bandh' here in winter capital of the state to protest against people opposing land transfer in favour of Amarnath Shrine where lakhs of pilgrims visit every year.
Meanwhile, Hindu based organisations including Bajrang Dal (BD), Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), Vishav Hindu Parishad (VHP), Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP), Shiv Sena (SS) units and Rashtriya Swaym-Sevak Sangh (RSS) have jointly raised the voice against the agitating people in Kashmir including separatists for opposing government's decision of transferring 800 kanals of land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board.
