Higher entitlement of kerosene through PDS for APL categ from July
New Delhi, Jun 25 (UNI) Beginning July 1, APL card holders under the Public Distribution system will get 15 litre kerosene instead of the current 9.5 litre at present, it was announced today.
Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today approved a proposal relating to new entitlement for Kerosene oil to various cardholders under the Public Distribution System (PDS) in the Capital-city.
As per the new entitlement, which would become effective from July 1, BPL cardholders, Antyodaya cardholders and Jhuggi Cluster cardholders would continue to get supply of 22 litre Kerosene oil per month at Rs.9.16 per litre.
However, APL stamped Cardholders will now be supplied 15 litre per month @ Rs 9.16 per litre. Their entitlement has been increased from 9.5 litre to 15 litre per month.
Around eight lakh APL cardholders who have got their ration cards stamped and whose annual family income is between Rs 24,000 and Rs 1 lakh per annum would be benefited with this decision.
